OUR SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

We’re making on-trend fashion more sustainable and accessible to everyone by transitioning our products to be made with lower environmental impact.

In fact, it’s our mission to fully transition to quality, lower impact materials for all of our products, while producing on-trend, high quality garments at accessible prices.

We’ve made good progress so far, currently 30% of our new arrivals are sustainably made using lower impact materials (defined as 30% of all new styles in the last month). We’re committed to making more progress, with at least 60% of our range sustainably made by 2025, and 100% as soon as possible.

DEMANd FASHION

At Princess Polly, we have pioneered a new fashion manufacturing model that we call Demand Fashion.

Typically the fashion industry has ordered products 6-12 months in advance, without knowing what will sell and how much inventory to keep, leading to unwanted, wasted stock.

With our close factory relationships we are able to produce products with a short lead time of 3-6 weeks. This allows us to manufacture our products in small quantities based on customer demand, and avoid the environmental burden of overproduction. We aim to use our Demand Fashion model, combined with lower impact, more sustainable materials to produce a better overall environmental outcome.

LOWER IMPACT

Our Lower Impact range is created using materials that (you guessed it) have a lower environmental impact. On average, each item is created with 80% lower impact materials, but all items in this range must consist of at least 50%. Not just any item can wear the tick of approval!
