Equality and Community
CREATING A DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE BUSINESS WHERE EVERYONE BELONGS AND SUPPORTING CAUSES THAT IMPROVE LIVES AND COMMUNITIES.
Activating our business to improve lives
We believe that diversity is beautiful and improving our representation and inclusiveness is imperative – this work is vital in creating the kind of change we want to see within our culture and industry – and in the world.
With the resources we have and the platforms we’ve built, we have the privilege to help transform lives in our team, in the communities we work in, all around the world. Empowering our Princess Polly community to do the same is our next big goal, because we know you’ve got what it takes to change lives, too!
Our Equality and Community impact area is all about how we take care of our team, centralize Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, and support the causes we care about in the broader community.
Princess Polly is a participant of the United Nations Global Compact, and has aligned our Earth Club mission with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Within our Equality and Community impact area, we are focused on three Sustainable Development Goals where we believe we can best contribute to:
OUR COMMITMENTS:
GOOD HABITS START AT HOME
At our head offices and distribution centres in Australia and the US, we’re focused on looking out for the mental health and wellbeing of our team members. Nothing means more to us than seeing our people live their best possible lives!
There’s a few ways we do this, including:
- Giving everyone employed by Princess Polly, including casuals, access to an Employee Assistance Program
- Employing onsite community managers who look out for everyone’s wellness and inclusion
- Making a global hotline available for team members wanting to reach out and offer anonymous feedback
- Supporting a culture of continuous learning through platforms such as Linkedin Learning
EVERYONE IS INVITED
We believe that diversity is beautiful. We’re putting this belief into practice by:
- Ensuring our products are available in sizes US 0 - US 20 (AU 4 - AU 24)
- Engaging with partners which reflect the diversity of our audience
- Having a strict policy against retouching for all images
- Improving the accessibility of our website, taking into consideration those with different abilities. You can view your options currently by selecting Accessibility in our footer.
We’ll continue to work on improving representation in our marketing and on our website by engaging with a greater diversity of partners, using our platforms to support issues we believe in and working to understand where our products could be improved to meet the needs of all people.
